The Col·legi d’Aparelladors, Arquitectes Tècnics i Enginyers d’Edificació de Barcelona (CAATEEB) will dedicate the second EBS Day 2021 to BIM in the industrialized construction of sanitary equipment. The conference will take place on March 23 at the Roca Barcelona Gallery and will feature the participation of representatives for CatSalut and the companies that have promoted the construction of five multipurpose hospital spaces in Catalonia to respond to the urgency generated by the Covid-19 pandemic.
Industrialized construction, one of the central themes of the next European BIM Summit, has been successfully applied to deal with the pandemic in China and Italy. In the Nordic, Anglo-Saxon countries and Japan it is standardized for its efficiency and export potential. It provides advantages such as: compliance with construction deadlines, contracted budgets and the agreed quality.
Integrated conception of Covid-19 hospitals
The session will be broadcast in streaming on Zoom (6pm), with free prior registration. It will be presented by the Project Leader of the European BIM Summit and BIM Leader of the CAATEEB, Rafael Capdevila, who will give way to the conference “Conceiving in an integrated way a Covid-19 hospital system”. Representing CatSalut, Martí Ballart will talk about role of the administration; Patricio Martínez, from PMMT, will expose the role of the designer; and Valentí Julià, from the UTE Bosch Pascual-Sorigué-Sogesa, will explain how BIM and Lean Construction have made it possible to achieve the challenge in just twenty weeks.
Executive construction management in the implementation of BIM
The EBS Day will continue with the round table “Executive construction management in the implementation of BIM in hospital projects of the Government of Catalonia”, which will be moderated by Sergio Muñoz, general secretary of buildingSMART Spain. The participants will be Gabriela Martínez, representative of CatSalut, and the executive construction managers of the projects carried out at the Germans Trias i Pujol Hospital (Badalona), Imma Casado (pinearq); Bellvitge (L’Hospitalet de Llobregat), Jaume Casas (Rossell-Giner i Associats); Moisès Broggi (Sant Joan Despí), Aleix Vilalta (G3); Pere Virgili (Barcelona), Joan Vallès (Calaf Constructora); and Arnau de Vilanova (Lleida), Jordi Tragant (Constructora d’Aro).
The session will be closed by the content director of the European BIM Summit, Ignasi Pérez Arnal, who will preview the congress on June 3, which you can now register for.
