The objective of this session is to introduce industrial engineers to the meaning and potential of BIM environments and then, through three case studies, see how it is implemented and used in three different projects: a block of houses, a pharmaceutical industrial plant, and the analysis of how BIM environments can be programmed and parameterized to generate automations
BIM has fully entered the world of Industrial engineering. First conceived as an architectural design program, BIM quickly proved its worth in the field of facilities.
The facilities consultant has in BIM the possibility of calculating and dimensioning the services and this added value converts Building Information Modeling into a generator of a new market.
This meeting is addressed, then, in the sector comprised of industrial, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, MEP, facilities consultants and facility technicians, and will be held on Wednesday, February 13, at the main hall of the Col·legi d’Enginyers Industrials de Catalunya (Via Laietana 39, 08003 Barcelona), organized by the COEIC itself and the European BIM Summit 2019, and the collaboration of the Col·legi d’Aparelladors de Barcelona (CAATEEB), BIM Academy and buildingSMART Spain.
