On September 28, the Col·legi d’Aparelladors, Arquitectes Tècnics i Enginyers d’Edificació de Barcelona [Association of Quantity Surveyors, Technical Architects and Building Engineers of Barcelona] (CAATEEB) will be staging a new online EBS Day in the Roca Barcelona Gallery.
The event, which will be streamed live via the Zoom Platform beginning at 5:50 pm, will feature the participation of the Roca Group, main partner of the European BIM Summit.
In the coming months, Spain will be receiving 1,924 million Euros for the renovation and energy renewal of entire buildings, plus 976 million Euros for the reconversion of vulnerable neighbourhoods as part of the Next Generation EU Recovery Funds.
Implementing a decarbonisation of the built architectural heritage is essential to ensure the proper use of these resources. This will involve monitoring each and every one of the energy renewal interventions in a demonstrable and justifiable way, which can now be done thanks to the connection between BIM and the digital twin.
EBS Day will feature an analysis of the management of the digital twin, why it is a key tool in the recovery from the economic crisis spawned by the Covid-19 pandemic, and how BIM will contribute to tackling the energy efficiency and sustainability challenges established by the Agenda 2030. The ultimate goal is to eliminate all emissions by 2050.
This is the last session before the European BIM Summit 2021, due to be held on 22 October, and which is now into its seventh edition, featuring many novelties.
